How to Find a Book in OPAC

There are two types of searchable library material

  • Books Search
  • Theses Search

  • Simple Search
  • Searching material through following ways:

  • Any Word
  • Title
  • Author
  • Subject
  • Classification Number
  • 1. To search material through “Any Word”
    By typing any word in search box, the database will show all similar results related to the searched word.



    2. To search material through “Title”.
    By typing any title or word of title in search box, the database will show all similar results related to the searched title or word of title.



    3. To search material through “Author’s Name”
    By typing any author or part of author name in search box, the database will show all similar results related to the searched author or part of author’s name.



    4. To search material through “Subject”.
    By typing any subject in search box, the database will show all similar results related to the searched subject.



    5. To search material through “Classification Number”.
    By typing any classification number in search box, the database will show all similar results related to the searched classification number.



    Note: Campus Wise Search
    Users can search material from a particular campus library or overall UOG libraries after selecting the option from drop down menu and database will show results accordingly



    Issued Record/ History
    By inserting UOGIS login/password, library members can view their entire issuing history/current record.
