Library Services

From the Circulation Desk available in the Library premises, members can borrow or return the library material. A request on prescribed form for the reservation of desired issued library material can be submitted at this desk. However, un-availed reservation request shall stand cancelled after two days.

A qualified library staff is available to provide answers of research questions and assist in navigating the millions of resources available online. Students are encouraged to walk in for a research consultation or make an appointment for more in-depth help.

UOG libraries provide service for the UOG new comers and Faculty with the endorsement of Dean Faculty Concerned; Moreover, the Registrar, UOG also endorses a delegation for the same.

Electronic document delivery service is being offered by UOG Central Library. Faculty, staff and students may request copies of journal articles and other materials located in the print and electronic collection whether UOG owns them or not.

British Library is the national library of United Kingdom and one of the world's greatest libraries. It serves business and industry, researchers, academics and students, in the UK and world-wide. Over 100 million items have been supplied to readers all over the world.

The Quaid-e-Azam Library, Hafiz Hayat Campus, Gujrat obtains library material(s) from other national & international libraries that is not available at UOG libraries as per members’ demand duly endorsed by the librarian concerned. The said member shall deposit the defined amount in the designated UOG bank(s) branch(s) and shall submit a copy of the challan form with an application to the Chief Librarian for further necessary action. All UOG libraries can borrow library materials through librarian concerned from the Quaid-e-Azam Library, Hafiz Hayat Campus, Gujrat and vice versa.

The library maintains an Information Desk. The desk provides any information regarding library. It also provides searching facilities to the library users to support their research endeavors.
Library provides self-service scanning facility in the library. The black and white multifunction machines are available in Library. This service is available to the member on request.

Regular library orientation sessions are held to enhance information-handling skills of library users and to increase the effectiveness of research as well. The service is available on individual and group basis. UOG provides Library Orientation Service at Quaid-e-Azam Library, Hafiz Hayat Campus, Gujrat for the new UOG admitted students and Faculty with the endorsement of Dean Faculty Concerned; whereas, the Registrar, UOG may endorse any delegation for the same.

Modern day University libraries are not limited to mere reading spaces but allied services are now permanent feature of academic libraries. Quaid-e-Azam Library (QAL), University of Gujart is fully capable to compete with all modern libraries of Pakistan as well as the world. The huge library building with state of the art Jinnah auditorium of 210 seats make QAL a top class library of Pakistan.
